Lucas Beltrán

Lucas Beltrán came through Instituto's youth ranks before joining River Plate's academy in 2016, and he made his professional debut for River Plate in December 2018. He went on to make 46 league appearances for River Plate, scoring 16 goals, with a spell on loan at Colón in the 2021–2022 season that produced 3 goals in 18 appearances. He won the Argentine Primera División title and the Supercopa Argentina with River Plate in 2023, and was named to the Primera División Team of the Season that year.

Fiorentina signed Beltrán in August 2023 for a fee that could rise to around €20 million with bonuses. He scored 11 goals in 65 league appearances for Fiorentina and reached the Europa Conference League final in 2024, having scored a decisive late penalty against Club Brugge in the qualifying rounds. The club came up short in two Coppa Italia finals during his time there and lost a Supercoppa Italiana semi-final.

In September 2025, Beltrán moved to Valencia on a loan, making 27 appearances and scoring once, in a deal that carried no option to buy. The following July he returned to River Plate on loan from Fiorentina, and an obligatory purchase clause worth around €6.5–7 million was triggered to make the move permanent; he signed with the club until December 2030, while Fiorentina kept a 50% sell-on clause.

He was called into the senior squad for World Cup qualifiers in November 2023, though a debut at that level has yet to follow.
