Maedine Mahloufi

Maedine Makhloufi spent his entire youth career at a single club. He joined the AS Saint-Étienne academy in 2013, aged nine, and worked his way through every youth level without leaving the Saint-Étienne structure. In the summer of 2025, he signed his first professional contract with the club, and again that season when he captained AS Saint-Étienne 2 in National 3, scoring four goals in eleven matches over the first half of the 2025–2026 campaign.

His breakthrough with the first team came in November 2025, when he started in a 3–1 Coupe de France win over Quétigny. He had already tasted matchday involvement a year earlier, named among the substitutes for a Ligue 2 fixture against Marseille in December 2024.

In January 2026, Makhloufi left Saint-Étienne for USL Dunkerque in a permanent transfer with a financial fee attached, though the amount was not disclosed. He put pen to paper on a contract running three and a half years, with a further year in the club's favour, tying him to Dunkerque until the summer of 2029.

Eligible for both France and Algeria, Makhloufi has opted to represent Algeria at youth international level. He was called up to the Algeria under-23 squad for a training camp and friendly matches against the Democratic Republic of Congo in March 2026, a period from which he holds one cap for the age group.

A left-footed left-back, he arrives at Dunkerque with limited senior minutes but a long grounding in a single club's youth structure.
