Twice a season the age-group side that carries FC Ballkani's name plays a match its own supporters cannot easily reach: not at the Theranda City Stadium in Suhareka, where the youth teams normally train and play, but at the Fadil Vokrri Stadium in Pristina, in front of a bowl built for 13,980. The reason is not ambition but a technicality — Theranda does not meet UEFA's requirements for European fixtures, so when the UEFA Youth League draw sends an opponent to Kosovo, the club packs its under-19s off to the capital rather than let the tie fall through on ground safety alone.

That is where the U19s have spent their European nights in the 2024–25 and 2025–26 seasons, meeting sides such as HJK Helsinki in the Domestic Champions Path and generally going out early. Domestically the age group has no league or cup title to its name; the silverware belongs to the senior team, which won the Kosovo Superleague three years running and added the Kosovo Cup and Super Cup along the way.

What the academy has produced instead is departures. Albion Rrahmani went on to Sparta Prague and then Venezia, Meriton Korenica moved to CFR Cluj, Nazmi Gripshi to Rubin Kazan, Ermal Krasniqi to Rapid București — a scattering across four different leagues that says more about the pipeline than any trophy would. The senior side plays in orange and black and answers to the nickname Xhebrailat, after a supporters' club founded in 1992.

13,980 is the number that matters here — not the size of the crowd that actually turns up for a youth fixture, but the capacity of the ground the club has to borrow to be allowed to play one at all.
