Opava's 2015/16 season produced the reserve team's high point away from any league table: a run to the Final 4 of the 1. Liga play-offs, where BK Opava B finished fourth.

That result sits apart from the team's usual business, which is the East Group of the 1. Liga, the second tier of Czech basketball. There the B-team has settled into mid-table rhythm rather than knockout drama: sixth in 2023/24, sixth again in 2024/25, sixth in 2025/26, with a fourth place in 2022/23 the nearest recent approach to that earlier peak. A season in the 2. Liga's Group C, in 2021/22, ended the same way — sixth in the regular season.

The team carries no separate identity from the first team; it has no title of its own and no distinct nickname, known locally simply as béčko, the B-team, and it wears the yellow and blue of a parent club nicknamed the Yellow Devils.
