BPM-Arena
Lindau (Bodensee), Germany
Formerly: Eissportarena Lindau, Eisstadion im Eichwald
The ground at Eichwaldstraße 16 is defined by its transition from open ice to a roofed enclosure. The site operated as an open-air rink, the Eisstadion im Eichwald, which served the community until October 2010. That month the old structure was replaced by a new indoor facility, completed in a single construction window between July and October of that year.
The current tenant, EV Lindau Islanders, has used the site since 1976, long before the 2010 rebuild. They play in the Eishockey-Oberliga Süd. The arena holds 1,250 spectators, a figure that includes 150 seated places. The surface is man-made ice. In September 2023 the naming rights were sold to the local construction firm BPM GmbH for a period of three years, changing the title from Eissportarena Lindau to BPM-Arena.
The capacity has fluctuated in records; some sources list 1,100, but the club’s own wiki and local records cite the higher number. The venue is operated by the Förderverein Eissportarena Lindau e.V. It stands in the Eichwald district of Lindau (Bodensee), Bavaria, Germany.
