Eisstadion im Sahnpark

The venue was built during the era of the German Democratic Republic to serve as a permanent home for the city's ice hockey team, ASK Vorwärts Crimmitschau. Construction began in 1964, and the stadium officially opened in October 1964. The original capacity was much larger, holding up to 10,000 spectators, but safety regulations and renovations reduced that number over the decades. A comprehensive renovation completed around 2010 involved a new cabin wing and established the current capacity of 5,222.

The arena has hosted international fixtures, including three matches of the German national ice hockey team against Belarus, Norway, and France. In 2011, it hosted the IIHF U18 World Championship, including all 10 preliminary round matches of Group A and the entire final round. The primary current tenant is ETC Crimmitschau, which plays in the DEL2. The owner is the Large District Town of Crimmitschau, and it is operated by the Culture, Sports and Leisure Facilities Operation Crimmitschau.
