HC Gomel plays here, and the club has called the arena home since 2000, the year the doors first opened. The team competes in the Belarusian Extraliga, and the arena has hosted the 2004 IIHF Continental Cup Super Final and the 2006 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia. The capacity is 2,626, a number that some sources round up to 2,760, though the difference is likely a matter of counting rather than construction. A second rink for training was added in 2004, and the venue also hosts judo and figure skating events, including the II Games of the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2023. The building has never changed its name.
