Imatra Spa Areena

The building sits on a quiet corner in Imatra. The structure was raised to replace the previous ice hall.

Inside, the facility serves a dual purpose. The main rink, a rectangle of natural ice, hosts the matches of Imatran Ketterä, who play in the Mestis league. They are the primary tenants here, and their success is tied to the venue.

A second, smaller sheet of ice sits adjacent to the main rink, used for practice and public skating sessions. The capacity is fixed at 1,200, a number that has stood since the doors opened in August 2011.

The name of the arena has shifted with the wind. It began as Imatran jäähalli, then became Imatra Spa Areena after marketing rights were sold. A brief experiment with 'Saimaa Gardens Areena' was abandoned, and the current sponsor, Oma Säästöpankki (OmaSp), has been attached since the start of the 2022 season.
