İnegöl İlçe Stadyumu

The İnegöl İlçe Stadyumu sits in the Burhaniye neighbourhood of İnegöl, Turkey, tucked away near the junction of Edirne Caddesi and Kemalettin Samipaşa Caddesi. It is a place defined by its history rather than its spectacle. Opened in 1968 as a district sports facility, the ground has seen little change in its fundamental purpose. It is the home of İnegölspor, a club that plays in the second tier of Turkish football, and has also hosted matches for İnegöl Kafkasspor.

The facility’s most significant moment of transition came in 2008, when the municipality acquired the stadium from the state for a symbolic one Turkish Lira. It is a modest structure, with a capacity that sources place at 3,950, though older figures sometimes reach higher. The Turkish Football Federation has since closed the main stand due to earthquake safety concerns, reclassifying the building as a risk structure. This leaves a reduced capacity and a quieter atmosphere than it might have known in its earlier decades.

The pitch itself remains a natural grass surface, maintained with regular aeration and fertilizing. The stadium carries a sponsor’s name now, known as the Pera Park İnegöl İlçe Stadyumu following an agreement with Pera Mimari, though locals continue to use the original title. There is no record of a major attendance figure or a cup final that took place here; it is a local ground for local games. The managing municipality maintains the only official website for the venue.

What separates this venue from the purpose-built arenas in Istanbul is its age and its ongoing struggle with structural integrity. It is a relic of a time when football was played in municipal parks rather than enclosed complexes.
