Kwara State Stadium
Ilorin, Nigeria
Formerly: Ilorin Township Stadium, Ilorin Stadium
The Kwara State Stadium, known officially as the Major-General George Agbazika Innih Stadium Complex, sits in the Tanke area of Ilorin. While the football bowl bears the name of Rashidi Yekini, the ground opened its doors in 1977. It was once called the Ilorin Township Stadium.
The main bowl holds a natural grass surface, a return to form after a stint with artificial turf.
Capacity sits at 18,000, a figure reached after a renovation that stretched on for nearly a year in 2010. Kwara United and ABS FC have called this place home, playing through periods of uncertainty and occasional bans over facility issues.
