Liljas Arena

There is a building on Grönvägen 41 that does not look like much from the outside. That name belongs to the building's past. It opened in 1963 as the fourth indoor ice rink built in Sweden, but the current structure is largely the product of a total renovation in 1984.

The arena sits behind that plain wall, and inside the space is defined by the seating arrangement. A major renovation between 2013 and 2014 demolished the western standing terrace, known as Apberget, and replaced it with a new supporter stand. The capacity is officially 2,380 spectators. This figure is lower than the standing-room capacity that existed when the attendance record of 4,027 was set in 1970 during a match between Nybro IF and Tingsryds AIF. That record is now considered unbreakable.

They returned to the league in the 2023/2024 season after promotion. It is also used by Nybro IF Konståkning and the junior teams of the Viking squad. In 2016, the venue was renamed Liljas Arena after a local car dealership purchased the naming rights. The club manager refused to answer questions about the value of that agreement.
