In the photographs from the construction years, the steel lattice was still exposed, a skeleton of white triangles against a pale sky, while cranes hung motionless around it. That structure remains the most distinct feature, a geometric skin that gives the building a character different from the solid concrete bowls found elsewhere. It was designed to catch the eye, and it succeeds in doing so from a distance.

Inside, the playing surface is a hybrid of natural grass and synthetic fibres. This AirFibr system is the technical reason the pitch holds up in the heat. The ground was built with a gazonnière, a dedicated grass farm. That infrastructure ensures the surface is maintained to a standard that might otherwise be difficult to achieve. The capacity sits at 40,143, a reduction from the initial plans, but the stands rise steeply from the touchline.

The club MC Oran calls this place home. Their supporters are visible in the background of matchday images, filling the red and white stands with smoke and flags. One banner reads "LEONES," but the presence of the club's sponsors on the digital boards and the players' shirts is more constant. The venue has hosted the Algeria national team and matches for the 2023 African Nations Championship. It also saw the final of the Algerian Cup, where ASO Chlef beat CR Belouizdad.

The stadium was renamed in 2022 after Miloud Hadefi, a former player, though the old title, the Olympic Stadium of Oran, still appears in some records. It opened in June 2021, after a long delay that saw the original target year slip by. The cost was roughly $142.3 million, a figure that reflects the ambition behind the project. The ground is located in the Belgaïd district, and it serves as a neutral venue for other clubs when needed.
