Robins High Performance Centre

Bristol, United Kingdom

The Robins High Performance Centre is not a monument to history. It is a functional space, built for a specific purpose and opened in July 2021. The facility sits on Clevedon Road in Failand, a district in the north of Bristol. It is the home of Bristol City Women, a move that brought them away from their previous ground at Stoke Gifford.

The ground has seen crowds swell beyond that, with 956 spectators turning out for a Women's Championship match against Charlton Athletic in January 2022. That game was a 2–0 victory for the visitors, and it remains the highest-attended fixture here. Training is the primary function, and the first team works the channels alongside the women’s squad.

The surface is the main feature. The club deployed a hybrid pitch using the SISGrass reinforcement system. The facility was constructed by E W Beard Construction, with MJ Abbott handling the external sports works. The development was overseen by owner Steve Lansdown.

Pre-season friendlies are played here, though some, like the opening match against Celtic FC in July 2021, were conducted behind closed doors. The venue also hosts youth matches and cup finals.
