Stadium
Stade Jlidi
Zarzis, Tunisia
Formerly: Stade Jlidi, Stade de Zarzis
The ground at Route de la Plage in Zarzis has a certain scale to it.
The venue opened in 2003, replacing the old municipal ground which was a tenth of its size. It serves as the home for Espérance Sportive de Zarzis, a club that has kept its name since 1934. The pitch is natural grass, cut short for play. There is a running track around the field, so the players have to deal with that extra space.
The stadium used to be called Stade Jlidi, or sometimes Stade de Zarjis. Now it is Complexe sportif Abdessalem Kazouz, named after the club's former star. The fans call it Jlidi still. It is not a big place for international matches.
