Stade Olympique de Sousse
Sousse, Tunisia
Étoile Sportive du Sahel have played here since the ground opened in September 1973, inaugurated by President Habib Bourguiba. The stadium hosted matches during the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations, but it is perhaps best remembered for the 2007 CAF Champions League Final, when ESS drew 0–0 with Al-Ahly SC before winning the tie on aggregate. The official attendance record for that match was 25,000.
The address is 17 Avenue Habib Bourguiba, though some sources list Route Kalaa Sghira instead. There is no official website for the stadium; it is managed by the municipality, whose site carries the same name. The capacity sits at 28,000 in most records, though safety restrictions and the unfinished work mean fewer seats are actually available.
It is a working ground, still carrying the weight of its past expansions and its half-completed future.
