Stjernehallen

Stjernehallen is an indoor ice hockey arena in Fredrikstad, Norway. It opened on October 3, 1970, and was the fifth ice hall built in the country. The venue is owned by the Fredrikstad municipality.

Stjernehallen has been the home of Stjernen Hockey, a team that plays in the EliteHockey Ligaen. The club's official website is https://www.stjernen.no/. In the 2021/2022 playoffs, Game 7 of the quarterfinals between Stjernen and Vålerenga set a new attendance record for the venue at that time, with standing places nearly full. Capacity figures vary slightly between sources: the English Wikipedia lists 2,473 seats, while the Norwegian Wikipedia and other sources cite 2,280 or approximately 2,400.

The venue is described as down-to-wear and in need of replacement. Plans are underway to replace Stjernehallen with a new facility called Arena Fredrikstad, expected to open around 2028 or 2029. The arena has hosted figure skating competitions such as the Norgescup and regional championships organized by the Norwegian Figure Skating Federation.

Stjernehallen is an isally used for ice hockey and figure skating. The team is also known as Stjernen Fredrikstad. The arena does not have a grass playing surface; it is an ice rink.
