The KOVO Cup is a professional pre-season volleyball tournament in South Korea, founded in 2006 by the Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO). It sits outside the main league pyramid, serving as a preparatory competition for the V-League, which is the top-tier professional league in the country. The V-League operates as a closed franchise system with no promotion or relegation; consequently, the KOVO Cup also involves no promotion or relegation. The tournament typically features all seven men's and seven women's clubs from the V-League, often supplemented by 1–2 international guest teams from countries such as Japan, China, or Thailand. The format generally consists of a round-robin group stage followed by a single-leg knockout stage (semifinals and final). The competition is distinct from the V-League regular season, which runs from late autumn to spring, whereas the KOVO Cup is held in late summer or early autumn. Unlike many domestic leagues that have a separate cup competition, the KOVO Cup is the primary domestic tournament for the V-League clubs aside from the league itself. There is no separate "Korean Volleyball Super Cup"; the term often refers to football. The tournament has undergone several name changes due to sponsorship, including the IBK Industrial Bank of Korea Cup (2008–2011), Ansan OurCard Cup (2013–2014), MG New Community Bank Cup (2019–2020), Doddram Cup (2021–2024), and NH Nonghyup Cup (2025–present). In the men's division, Incheon Korean Air Jumbos and Cheonan Hyundai Capital Skywalkers are the most successful teams with five titles each. Hyundai Capital Skywalkers are the current holders (2024). In the women's division, GS Caltex Seoul KIXX holds the record with six titles, while Suwon Hyundai E&C Hillstate are the current holders (2024). Notable international participants include Tianjin Bohai Bank (China, 2009), Supreme Chonburi E.Tech (Thailand, 2023), and Aranmare Yamagata (Japan, 2024). The men's division was cancelled in 2025 due to FIVB approval issues, while the women's division proceeded.
