Volleyball League (Qatar) 2025/26

The Qatari Volleyball League, also known as the Qatar Men's Volleyball Top Division, stands as the premier professional volleyball competition in the country. Governed by the Qatar Volleyball Association, the tournament sits at the apex of the national pyramid. It was established in 1979, with the inaugural campaign taking place during the 1979–80 season.

The structure of the league comprises a regular round-robin stage where every team faces one another. This is followed by a playoff phase that concludes with a single decisive final match to crown the champion. Although the competition typically accommodates ten clubs, recent seasons have featured a variety of major sporting entities. Current participants include Al Arabi, Al Gharafa, Al Khor, Al Rayyan SC, Al Sadd, and Al Shamal. The season generally operates from late autumn through to early spring.

Al Arabi holds the record for success in the competition, having claimed the title 26 times. Other historically dominant sides include Al Rayyan and Qatar SC. In the most recent completed season, 2024–25, Al Rayyan secured the championship by defeating Al Wakrah in the final. They followed a runner-up finish in the previous year, where Al Arabi won the top prize.

The format differs significantly from the domestic Amir Cup. While the Amir Cup operates as a single-elimination knockout tournament, the league relies on cumulative points over the full duration of the campaign. This separation allows clubs to pursue both honours within distinct windows of the calendar year. Information regarding specific promotion and relegation protocols between the top tier and the Second Division remains unclear in public records.
