Velo Volley Milano swept Monza 4-0 in a club friendly on 3 October 2026. The match took place at Monza's home venue, and the result was a straight-sets victory for the visitors. The hosts offered little resistance throughout the contest.
By then, Monza had only one win in their recent memory — a 3-2 scoreline against Atlante Pallavolo on 26 September. Everything else in their record pointed in another direction, including two 0-3 defeats to Trentino Volley in April. They had also beaten Padua twice, 3-0 on each occasion.
Velo Volley Milano came into the game with more momentum. Their last outing was a 1-3 loss to Modena Volley on 26 April, but before that they had collected a 3-1 win over Chistera and two consecutive 3-0 victories against Chistera and Lindeman's Aalst. The friendly offered a chance to build on that form.
There were no complications to report. The match ran its course without any notable incidents, and the final score reflected the gap between the sides on the day. Monza did not trouble their opponents, while Velo Volley Milano took control from the opening set.
The result leaves Monza looking for a run of positive results after a mixed recent period. Velo Volley Milano, meanwhile, will take confidence from a comprehensive performance against a fellow Italian club. The friendly served its purpose for both camps.
