By then the tactical picture was clear enough. The hosts made 32 crosses against 17 from the visitors, but only three landed successfully compared to four for the visitors. Oakland had 17 clearances while Orange County cleared 44, suggesting the visitors spent more time defending under pressure.
The result keeps Oakland rooted in eleventh place with 27 points from 23 games, while Orange County remain third with 35 points from 22 matches. The visitors have a one-game advantage and eight points to spare, though both sides have shown inconsistency in recent weeks.
