Polesie Zhytomyr Women

Polesia Zhytomyr Women secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Ternopil Women in the Ukrainian Superleague (women) on September 26, 2026. The home side maintained their position in third place with 18 points from 12 games, while the visitors remained rooted at fifth with just a single point after ten matches. Ternopil's record continues to be one of struggle — ten defeats from ten fixtures without a single win or draw. They had travelled to face Polesia following a heavy 3-0 loss to the same opposition on September 25, and this result only added to their growing tally of setbacks. Polesia, meanwhile, showed resilience after mixed results earlier in the season. Their recent form included victories over Ternopil and Dobrodiya Meduniversity, though they also suffered losses to the latter on two occasions. The 3-1 scoreline reflected their ability to take advantage of opportunities. The gap between the two sides in the table now stands at seventeen points. With Polesia having played two more games, the away team faces an uphill battle to close the distance. Ternopil's campaign remains challenging as they continue searching for their first breakthrough. This result extends Polesia's advantage in the standings and demonstrates why they sit comfortably in third place. For Ternopil, the defeat marks yet another difficult chapter in what has been a tough season so far.
