VFV Allows Super League Clubs to Sign Bookmaker Sponsors
Russia's volleyball federation cleared men's and women's Super League clubs to sign betting-company sponsorships from 2026/27, pending VFV approval and current sponsor's first refusal.
The All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VFV) has cleared Super League clubs to sign sponsorship deals with bookmakers from the 2026/27 season.
Under Chapter 8 of the federation's marketing and communications requirements for the new campaign, clubs may carry advertising from companies operating in the "bookmaker services and betting" category, subject to written approval from the VFV. The rule covers both the men's and women's Super League.
"Clubs need written VFV approval to run bookmaker ads during matches," the VFV press office told Styavki na Sportse.
Approved sponsors may appear on playing kit, on other surfaces around the arena, and on a club's official online accounts.
A single Super League club asked for permission ahead of the new season. "The federation raised no objections to the ads during matches," the press office said.
Clause 3.39 of the requirements sets the process: a club must notify the VFV in advance and agree the deal with the federation before signing. The competition's official sponsor retains first refusal — it can match or improve a bookmaker's offer, and if it does, the club must sign with that sponsor instead.
