Sofya Kosycheva added to Myrotvorets database
Ukraine's Myrotvorets website added Russian volleyball player Sofya Kosycheva of Amurskiye Tigritsy-DVGAFK after she trained with war veterans, accusing her of backing Russia's actions.
The Russian volleyball player Sofya Kosycheva has been added to the database of Myrotvorets, the Ukrainian website that publishes the personal details of people it deems to have acted against Ukraine's interests, RIA Novosti reported.
Kosycheva plays for Amurskiye Tigritsy-DVGAFK. The site accuses her of supporting Russia's actions and of an attempt on Ukraine's territorial integrity. The listed reason is her participation in a volleyball training session with veterans of the war in Ukraine.
Amurskiye Tigritsy Women were founded in 2023 and play at the Universal Regional Sports Complex, which holds 1,670. The side currently sit second in the Cup of Siberia and Far East Women, with 3 points from 2 matches.
Myrotvorets was set up in 2014 and holds personal data on journalists, performers and politicians who have visited Crimea or Donbass, or otherwise drawn the site's hostility. Access to it has been blocked in Russia by court order since 2016. The boxer Gennady Golovkin, president of World Boxing and head of Kazakhstan's National Olympic Committee, was added to the same database earlier, over accusations of supporting the campaign in Ukraine.
