Asen Rumenov Chandarov

Asen Chandarov came through the Septemvri Sofia academy and made his first-team breakthrough there in the 2015–16 season, scoring twice in eight appearances before a loan spell at Pirin Razlog, where he found the net three times in twelve games. A brief move to Botev Plovdiv followed, then a return to Septemvri that stretched across four seasons and yielded eight goals in 66 matches.

A loan to Levski Sofia in 2019 preceded his departure from the country altogether, joining Romanian side Academica Clinceni as a free agent in 2020. He stayed three years, contributing three goals in 35 appearances, before returning to Septemvri in January 2022 and again finding the scoresheet regularly, five goals in 26 matches.

Levski Sofia signed him permanently in 2023, making 43 appearances over two seasons. A loan back to Septemvri for 2024–25 preceded his move to Cherno More Varna, where he recorded 35 matches and five goals in 2025–26. He left as a free agent for Botev Plovdiv shortly after.

Chandarov has represented Bulgaria at under-17, under-19 and under-21 level, totalling around 18 appearances and two goals for the youth sides. He has not been capped by the senior national team.
