Aleksandr Troshechkin

Aleksandr Troshechkin's path to senior football took a detour before it even began: signed by Anzhi Makhachkala in 2014, he picked up an injury that kept him out of the first team entirely, and he moved on to Rostov before making a competitive appearance. At Rostov he spent several seasons out on loan, going through spells at Fakel Voronezh, Tosno and Avangard Kursk before a free transfer took him to Khimki in the summer of 2019.

His subsequent moves carried a price tag that reflected his growing standing in the Russian game: Akhmat paid 300,000 euros for him in February 2022, and Pari NN followed in June 2023 with a fee of 25 million rubles. It was at Pari NN, in June 2024, that he suffered a significant injury during a playoff match against Arsenal Tula, a setback that ruled him out for three to five weeks.

Troshechkin has not been shy about speaking his mind. In November 2023 he criticised the physicality of a match against CSKA, pointing out that a teammate had suffered a fracture during the game, a comment that drew attention at the time. Internationally, he was capped twice for Russia's under-21 side between 2016 and 2017, though a call-up to the senior national team has not followed.
