About the player
Yang Xi was born in Barcelona to Chinese parents and started out in the Espanyol youth system. A free transfer took him to CE L'Hospitalet in 2024, where senior football again proved elusive, and by January 2025 he had moved on.
He switched to Qingdao West Coast for the 2025 season. He made 21 league appearances in the Chinese Super League. He made his debut for his new club in the AFC Champions League Elite against Ulsan HD that same month.
Yang Xi has kept his place in the Shanghai Port side through the 2026 season, making 24 league appearances and contributing two goals and three assists.
