Christopher Stephen Forrester

Christopher Forrester returned to St Patrick's Athletic in January 2019 on a free transfer after his contract at Aberdeen was mutually terminated over personal issues.

Dublin-born, Forrester came through the youth ranks at Smithfield United, Bohemians and Belvedere FC, where he won the FAI Under-17 Cup in 2010. He made his senior debut for Bohemians in 2011 before his first move to St Patrick's Athletic in January 2012, a switch that quickly paid off: he was named PFAI Young Player of the Year that same year, then won the League of Ireland Premier Division in 2013 and both the President of Ireland's Cup and the FAI Cup in 2014, the latter ending a 53-year wait for silverware at the club.

That form took him to England in August 2015, when Peterborough United paid an undisclosed six-figure fee for him. He had loan spells at Dundee United and Cork City before Aberdeen paid around £200,000 for him in June 2018.

Forrester was capped twice by the Republic of Ireland Under-21s in 2013 and was called up to the senior squad in March 2016, though he has not won a full international cap.
