D. Puebla

The move that took Damián Puebla from Córdoba to Russia was not a simple purchase. In January 2026, Orenburg paid $1 million for 50% of the attacking midfielder's rights, with a clause obliging the club to buy a further 40% for $750,000 if he had not been sold on by the summer of 2027. He signed for three and a half years, to the end of the 2028/29 season.

Puebla started out at Racing de Córdoba and moved to Boca Juniors in 2019, at 16. He stayed in the youth and reserve setup there until 2022/23 without breaking into the senior side, and it was back in his home city that his professional career began: he debuted for Instituto in the Argentine Primera División on 31 July 2023, against Godoy Cruz. His first professional goal came on 30 January 2024, six months later.

Instituto kept him for two and a half seasons, and he became a regular — a right-footed attacking midfielder at 170 cm, working between the lines rather than through them. He left with several dozen league appearances and a goal return in double figures by some counts.

He has not won a domestic title or an individual award, and he has not been capped by the senior Argentina side.

His Russian Premier League debut came on 28 February 2026, away to the schedule's first test of the new signing, Akron Tolyatti.
