Danil Glebov

Danil Glebov's route to Dynamo Moscow ran through Rostov, where he arrived in January 2019 as a teenager and grew into the captain's armband. Rostov handed him the captaincy for an official match against Sochi on 6 March 2021, and when he scored his first goal for the club in that same fixture, he kept a promise to dye his beard yellow and blue in the team's colours. He went on to make between 158 and 191 appearances for Rostov, contributing 12 goals and 17 assists, though the club did not add a major domestic title during his time there.

Glebov's path into professional football began in his native Tomsk, before a move to the Lokomotiv Moscow academy and then to Anji Makhachkala in February 2016. He worked his way up through Anji-2, made his senior debut for the first team in May 2018 and featured in the Russian Premier League from September 2018, though his spell in the main squad amounted to just eight appearances before Rostov came calling.

On 2 February 2025, Dynamo Moscow signed him for a fee of around €8 million and a contract running until December 2030.

At international level, Glebov made his senior Russia debut against Cyprus on 11 November 2021 and has since earned 16 caps. A year later he was handed the captaincy for a friendly against Tajikistan on 17 November 2022, learning of the decision only upon entering the locker room. He also came through Russia's under-21 side, helping it qualify for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship. His form for Rostov earned him the Russian Premier League's Best Player award for November 2022, and he has been named to the "33 Best Footballers of the Championship" list four times.
