About the player
Darling Bladi came through the youth ranks at AS Orly and CFF Paris before Saint-Étienne took him on in 2019. He spent five years with the club's B side, making 35 appearances there, and worked his way to two outings with the first team.
A loan spell at Bourg-en-Bresse Péronnas 01 gave him his fullest run of senior football, 26 appearances across a single season away from Saint-Étienne. On its expiry he moved on as a free agent, joining Real Betis Deportivo, where he settled quickly into the left-back role and scored one goal in 30 appearances. He also had a single cup outing with Real Betis's first team.
Born in Créteil to Ivorian heritage, Bladi has represented neither France nor Ivory Coast at any level so far. He plays as a left-back.
