David Ricardo

David Ricardo arrived at Dinamo Moscow in January 2026 on a contract running until June 2030, with a club option to extend it a further year. The move from Botafogo was reported at between €6 million and €6.5 million for 80% of his economic rights, Botafogo keeping the remaining 20%, with performance bonuses of up to €1 million attached — €250,000 for every ten matches he plays. He made his debut for the club in a Russian Cup match soon after signing.

Born in Teresina, Ricardo started out at Fluminense-PI, making nine appearances before a loan to Ceará in March 2022 turned permanent that December. He spent several seasons at Ceará, making between 80 and 99 appearances and scoring between four and six goals, and won the Copa do Nordeste in 2023 and the Campeonato Cearense in 2024, having already lifted the Campeonato Piauiense with Fluminense-PI in 2022.

In February 2025 he signed a four-year deal with Botafogo and quickly established himself as a regular starter, making 24 league appearances and scoring once that season. He did not feature competitively for the club in 2026, and his contract there was terminated that January, clearing the way for the switch to Moscow.

Ricardo has represented Brazil at club level but has not been capped by the senior national side.
