Dmitri Rakhmanov

Dmitri Rakhmanov has spent his entire career at one club. Born in Ulyanovsk, he came through the Volga Ulyanovsk youth system, graduating from the club's football school in 2012 and joining the senior squad the following January. He made his professional debut on 2 June 2013 in the Russian Second Division against Lada-Togliatti.

The only break from Volga came in July 2014, when he was loaned to Sergievsk for the second half of that year, returning to Ulyanovsk on 31 December 2014. Since then he has stayed put through every level the club has passed — the Second Division, the FNL 2 and the FNL — as Volga worked its way up the pyramid. In the 2015/16 campaign he was a regular in the squad that won the Second Division title and secured promotion, making 19 league appearances and scoring twice that season. He added a further honour in 2019, winning the FFRT Cup with the club.

Rakhmanov's staying power has turned him into one of the defining figures of Volga's recent history. He has now made 277 appearances for the club, a tally that puts him third on the all-time list, having overtaken Vladimir Pronin.

He has a twin brother, Denis Rakhmanov, who also played for Volga Ulyanovsk, giving the club a rare pairing on its books for a period. Dmitri has not represented Russia at senior international level, his career built instead entirely around one city and one shirt.
