Emmanuel Longelo Mbule

Emmanuel Longelo Mbule came through the West Ham United academy and made his senior debut for the club, going on to feature in the Premier League, the EFL Cup and the Europa League. His path away from West Ham started with a loan rather than a straight sale: Birmingham City took him for the 2022–23 season, then made the move permanent that January, paying a reported £400,000 for the left-back.

At Birmingham he did not settle into an uninterrupted run in the first team, and the club sent him out again, this time to Cambridge United for the 2024–25 season. That loan closed out his time in England before Birmingham let him go permanently. In July 2025 he moved to Motherwell, with the transfer confirmed on 9 July and a medical completed shortly afterwards. The reported fee mirrored the one Birmingham had paid for him back in 2023, and he signed a two-year contract with the Scottish Premiership club.

Longelo is of Congolese descent and remains eligible to play for DR Congo, though he has not been capped at senior level by England or any other country.
