Edwin Alexis Velasco Uzuriaga

Edwin Alexis Velasco Uzuriaga is a left-footed left-back who broke through at Cortuluá, where he made his professional debut in 2011 before a loan spell at Once Caldas and a return to the club that kept him there until 2016. He joined Atlético Nacional and won the Copa Libertadores in 2016, followed by the Recopa Sudamericana and the Categoría Primera A Apertura title the following year, alongside domestic cup and league honours won in the same period.

After a further spell at Once Caldas, Velasco transferred to América de Cali in June 2019, featuring 16 times in the Clausura campaign and playing in the finals as the club won the title. He helped América retain the championship in 2020, completing a bicampeonato before leaving the club.

Velasco joined Junior FC in 2021 and stayed for two seasons before returning to América de Cali on a free transfer in 2023. His career since has been shaped by short, overlapping stints: he began 2025 at Deportivo Pasto for the Apertura before moving on to Deportivo Pereira in the middle of the year. He returned to Deportivo Pasto in January 2026 for the new season, before a further move to Deportivo Cali in June 2026 reunited him with coach Rafael Dudamel, who had previously worked with him at Pereira. Most of these transfers were completed as free moves, without transfer fees disclosed publicly.
