Ertan Yuzeir Tombak

Ertan Tombak came up through Cherno More Varna's own academy, making his professional debut for the club in 2017 before signing his first professional contract that summer. His path took an unusual turn in January 2019, when, after training with Slavia Sofia in late 2018, he joined the Sofia club as a free agent. He stayed for six years, making his debut that April. His exit in July 2025 came suddenly; Tombak himself has declined to explain the circumstances beyond confirming the split.

What brought him back to Cherno More was almost accidental. Manager Ilian Iliev spotted Tombak in the stands during a 3–1 defeat to Levski Sofia and, facing a shortage of right-backs in his squad, moved to sign him immediately rather than wait for the January window. Tombak agreed a contract running to 2028 and marked his return as a substitute in a 2–1 win over Beroe Stara Zagora.

A left-footed defender who operates primarily at right-back, Tombak worked his way through Bulgaria's youth ranks, from the U18s through to the U21s, scoring once in six appearances at that level. He earned his senior international debut in June 2024, starting in a 1–1 friendly draw against Slovenia.
