About the player
The move paid off quickly: he was named the cinch Championship's Player of the Month for November 2021 after scoring four goals, and went on to win the Scottish Challenge Cup with Raith Rovers that season.
A third loan move, this time to Falkirk in September 2023, proved decisive. Ross made 31 league appearances as Falkirk won Scottish League One, and the following June he signed for the club permanently on a free transfer. The following season brought a second successive promotion, as Falkirk won the Scottish Championship to reach the Premiership.
Ross has also represented Scotland at youth level, earning caps for the under-17s, and captained Aberdeen's under-18 side. Born in Inverurie, he joined Aberdeen's academy at the age of ten before working his way up through the club's youth ranks to his senior debut in 2019.
