Felix Passlack

Passlack's development in Dortmund's academy peaked in the summer of 2015, when he captained Germany to the final of the European Under-17 Championship and was named in the tournament's Team of the Tournament. That autumn he was awarded the Fritz Walter Medal in gold as the best German player of his age group, confirmation that the right-back was rated among the country's leading young defenders before he had played a senior match.

He turned professional with Borussia Dortmund in 2016 and won the DFB-Pokal the following season, though his part in the triumph was limited to two cup appearances. The following years were shaped by a string of loan moves rather than a settled first-team role: spells at TSG Hoffenheim, Norwich City and Fortuna Sittard took him away from Dortmund in successive seasons. At Norwich, his single league appearance still yielded a Championship title medal. After two more seasons with Dortmund's reserve side, he left the club on a free transfer in July 2023 to join VfL Bochum.

At Bochum he has established himself as part of the defensive setup. In February 2026 he moved on again, this time to Hibernian, in a transfer reported to be worth between €150,000 and €200,000 — a modest fee reflecting the winding path his career has taken since those early days as one of Germany's most promising teenage defenders.
