About the player

Fynn Otto spent seven years working his way through the Eintracht Frankfurt academy without ever making a competitive first-team appearance. He joined the club in 2014 after starting out at TSV Ostheim/Butzbach and SV Nieder-Weisel, signed his first professional contract in January 2020, and was part of the squad when Frankfurt won the 2021–22 UEFA Europa League. His involvement in that run was limited to two pre-season friendlies, and he never featured in the competition itself.

The 2021–22 season also took him away from Frankfurt on loan to Hallescher FC, where he made ten appearances. He returned to Frankfurt afterwards, but rather than the first team, he spent 2022 to 2024 with the club's second side.

Internationally, Otto's record is a youth one. He was capped nine times for Germany's under-16 side between 2017 and 2018, scoring once, and was later called up to the under-17 and under-18 squads, though a withdrawal from the U18 setup came because of injury. He has not featured for Germany at under-19 level or above.

At both club and international level, Otto's story so far is one of a defender who has done the rounds of academy football and loan spells without yet forcing his way into a first team on a consistent basis.
