Gustav Åke Broman

Gustav Broman broke into senior football at IFK Örby before joining the IF Elfsborg academy in 2017, where he progressed through the youth ranks and eventually earned two cup appearances for the first team in 2021. That same year he was called up to the Swedish under-19 side for a single cap.

His path since has run through the Superettan rather than the top flight. A free transfer took him to Norrby IF in January 2022, where he made ten league appearances and scored twice. He moved on again in 2023, this time to Skövde AIK, and became a fixture there, playing 29 league matches and scoring three goals in a season that ended in relegation for the club.

In July 2024 Broman signed for Varbergs BoIS, once again on a free transfer. It is at Varbergs that he has settled into the most consistent run of his career, holding down a regular starting spot across the 2024, 2025 and 2026 seasons and reaching 44 league appearances with three goals for the club. Recent results have included a 1-1 draw with IFK Värnamo and a 3-1 win over IK Oddevold in the 2026 Superettan campaign.

Broman has built his career on steady progression through Sweden's second tier rather than a single defining moment.
