Isaac Matondo

Ten goals in twelve matches for US Fougères in Championnat National 3. He had arrived on a free transfer, and he left the same way five months later to Les Herbiers VF, where he scored 16 in 29.

Born in Kinshasa, Matondo came into the game at AS Chantepie and joined the Stade Rennais academy in 2010, staying seven years. He scored 13 goals in 60 matches for the reserve side between 2017 and 2020, and made one senior appearance for Rennes, in the Coupe de France in January 2019. Rennes won that season's competition; Matondo did not play in the final.

The move that did not work came in 2021. He signed a four-year contract with FC Sion and never played a first-team match there, the deal terminated over foreign player quota restrictions.

The scoring rate did not travel with him to US Concarneau, whom he joined on a free two-year deal in June 2023: 29 appearances in Ligue 2 and a single goal. In September 2024 he transferred to NK Koper, and by mid-2025 had made more than 28 appearances in the Slovenian PrvaLiga, with four goals and two assists.

Matondo holds French and DR Congolese nationality. He has played for France at under-19 and under-20 level, and has not been capped by the DR Congo senior side.
