About the player
Ieuan Owen was rejected at Penybont before eventually joining the club's academy. He left in 2022 and moved on to Bettws, before joining Afan Lido later that year. In the Cymru South during the 2023/24 season, he scored 15 goals in 25 games.
That form earned him a move to Barry Town United in August 2024. Over two seasons at the club he made 74 appearances and scored 27 goals, and was named Young Player of the Year in the Cymru Premier for the 2025/26 season.
In June 2026, Owen moved to Kilmarnock after a release clause in his Barry Town United contract was met, on an undisclosed fee, and signed a two-year deal with the Scottish Premiership club. Owen has also represented Wales at international level.
