Jamie Jermaine Bynoe-Gittens

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens joined Borussia Dortmund from Manchester City's academy in September 2020, at the age of 16, for a fee of around €250,000 covering training costs. He made his professional debut in the Bundesliga in April 2022 and went on to make 107 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 17 goals, with 76 of those appearances and 12 of those goals coming in the league. He also featured in the DFB-Pokal and the Champions League, and was part of the Dortmund squad that reached the 2024 Champions League final. His time at the club also included spells out with ankle and shoulder injuries.

Before Dortmund, his path through England had taken him from Caversham Trents into Reading's academy at the age of eight, with a brief stop at Chelsea before he returned to Reading and then moved on to Manchester City in 2018. In July 2025 he left Dortmund for Chelsea in a deal reported at €64 million, or £48.5 million plus add-ons, signing a contract to 2030.

At international level, Bynoe-Gittens has come up through England's youth sides, from the under-15s through to the under-21s. The high point came in 2022, when he was part of the England side that won the UEFA European Under-19 Championship; he played in four matches at that tournament, including a start in the final against Israel.
