Junjie Zhang

Zhang Junjie came through Shanghai Port's own academy, working his way through the youth ranks before being attached to Shanghai Port B. His breakthrough with the senior side came in the CFA Cup, when he was sent on as a substitute and set up Liu Zhurun's goal against Shanghai Saigenda — his first involvement in a first-team match.

Capped by the China Under-17 national team between 2022 and 2024, he was part of the squad at the 2023 AFC U-17 Asian Cup in Australia, where he scored in an 11-0 quarter-final rout of the Northern Mariana Islands. He also started the tournament's other quarter-final, a 3-1 defeat to Australia. He remained involved with the age group into the following cycle, named in the squad for the 2025 AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualifiers.

A forward who can also operate from the left wing, Zhang plays with his right foot and wears number 37 for Shanghai Port. His path so far has run entirely through the club's own system, from academy to Shanghai Port B and now the fringes of the first-team squad.
