About the player
Lisandru Olmeta was born in Ajaccio and came up through Corsican football before the move that shaped his career: a switch to the AS Monaco academy in 2020. There he was part of the France Under-17 side that won the UEFA European Under-17 Championship in 2022.
In 2023 he chose a different path than staying at Monaco, signing his first professional contract with Lille OSC instead of accepting a pro deal offered by the club that developed him. At Lille he settled into the reserve side, making 38 appearances for Lille OSC B in Championnat National 3 across two seasons, work that earned him call-ups to train and travel with the first team, including for UEFA Champions League qualifiers.
Olmeta's route to regular first-team football came through a loan. In June 2025 he moved to SC Bastia in Ligue 2 for the 2025–2026 season, a deal struck on a free basis. There he made 10 league appearances and added two more in cup competition.
The loan proved to be a stepping stone rather than a settled home. In July 2026 he left the Lille setup altogether, joining SC União Torreense in Portugal on a permanent contract running until 2029.
