About the player
The Caracas-born midfielder started out at Fratelsa Sport before spending time in the youth academies of FC Barcelona's La Masia and SS Lazio. He returned to Venezuela with Academia Puerto Cabello, briefly signed a youth contract with Benfica in January 2019, and then went back to the Puerto Cabello club that July.
From there, Lacava was sent out on a string of loans: to Brazil's Santos FC, to Portugal's C.D. Tondela, and to FC Vizela, also in Portugal. A further loan took him to Atlético Goianiense in Brazil before he made his move to Ulsan HD in South Korea permanent in 2025, where he made 24 league appearances. He returned to Vizela in February 2026, this time on a free transfer.
At international level, the left-footed midfielder made his senior debut for Venezuela on 24 March 2024, in a 0–0 draw against Guatemala. He was named in the Venezuela squad for the 2024 Copa América and has gone on to earn four senior caps. Before breaking into the senior side, he had already come through Venezuela's youth ranks, representing the country at U17, U20 and U23 level.
