About the player
Maksim Osipenko only made his senior debut at Neftyanik Omsk's parent club, Irtysh Omsk, in 2013. At Rostov, in the 2024–25 season, he scored nine goals, matching the record for most goals by a defender in a single Russian Premier League season, and set up his move to Dynamo Moscow.
That summer transfer, completed for a fee of €2.9 million, brought him to Moscow on a contract running to the summer of 2028. In his first season at the club he made 29 appearances across all competitions, 22 of them in the league and seven in the Russian Cup, contributing three goals and two assists.
Osipenko has also established himself with the Russia national team, for whom he made his debut against Malta in September 2021. He has since won 18 caps and scored three international goals, both coming in 2024 friendlies against Serbia and Syria.
Right-footed and commanding in the air at 192 cm, Osipenko has yet to add a major trophy to his career, either with his clubs or with the national team.
