About the player
Márk Gyetván arrived at Paksi FC in the winter of the 2024–25 season, joining on a permanent transfer from Budapest Honvéd to replace Dominik Földi. The goalkeeper had spent close to five years with Honvéd, having joined the academy in the summer of 2020 and worked his way up to the senior squad by summer 2023. His path through the first team went via the reserves, where he made his debut for Honvéd II in NB III in May 2024, before appearing for the senior side in NB II during that same 2024/25 campaign.
Before Honvéd, Gyetván had already moved clubs more than once as a young player, coming through Eger Plutó SE and then Mezőkövesd Zsóry FC, where he stayed until 2017.
Since moving to Paks, Gyetván has been part of a squad that enjoyed cup success: the club won the Magyar Kupa in the 2024–25 season, beating Ferencváros 4–3 on penalties in the final played on 14 May 2025. Péter Szappanos started in goal for that final. Gyetván has also featured for Hungary at under-19 level, earning caps that included appearances in U19 European Championship qualifying and a friendly.
