About the player
He came through the youth ranks at Randaberg IL, SK Djerv 1919 and FK Haugesund before breaking into Haugesund's senior side in 2012, staying there until a move to Djurgårdens IF in December 2018 on a four-year deal. Loan spells followed at FC Groningen in the Netherlands and then Nîmes Olympique in France, before a permanent switch to Vålerenga in 2022. The same year he moved on again, to Danish club AGF, then returned to Norway with Odd BK in 2023 and Strømsgodset from 2024.
Aberdeen signed him on a free transfer in January 2026 after his contract at Strømsgodset ran out, putting pen to an 18-month deal that runs to the end of May 2027.
Internationally, Bråtveit worked his way up through Norway's youth sides from under-15 to under-21 level, featuring for the under-21s in a friendly against Bulgaria in June 2016. He was called up to the senior squad for a UEFA Nations League match against Austria in November 2020, though he did not travel with the team after an incomplete coronavirus test triggered quarantine rules.
