Richard Sedláček

Sedláček arrives at FK Jablonec on a free transfer, signing a contract until June 2027 after his move from FK Teplice in September 2025. The switch marked his return to the Czech First League a year after leaving the country's junior structures behind: he had spent the bulk of his career in the Netherlands, coming through at Jong AZ from 2018 and later moving on to VVV-Venlo, both in the Eerste Divisie.

Before that spell abroad, Sedláček's development ran through several Czech clubs, including Sparta Praha's academy and AZ Alkmaar's youth setup, and it was at international underage level that he made his clearest mark: he captained Czech youth sides from the under-16s through to the under-20s between 2014 and 2019, collecting 54 caps across those age groups. He has yet to add a senior international appearance to that record.

At club level, his most productive attacking season on record came with Jong AZ in 2019–20, when he scored five goals. His return to Czech domestic football with Teplice in August 2024 brought a first appearance in the Czech First League, and he opened his account in that competition with a goal for the club in March 2025.
