About the player
Taiga Son signed with Sagan Tosu in 2021. He made just two league appearances before the club sent him out on loan to Zweigen Kanazawa in June 2022: he started regularly over two seasons, racking up 31 league appearances.
His return to Sagan Tosu in January 2024 lasted barely a month before he moved on again, joining Ventforet Kofu that February. He made 52 league appearances across two seasons. He opened his goalscoring account in the J.League on 5 April 2025, one of four goals he scored during his time at the club.
In January 2026, Son transferred to FC Imabari, where he now wears the number 3 shirt at centre-back.
